This songs lyrics and central theme are heavily inspired by my favorite videogame series Dark Souls. I used its many themes to compare how we as people in this society are led down a path against our will. We are hollow and lifeless, told what to do with our lives without questioning what it means to be alive. We repeat our mistakes, we repeat others mistakes. Friends become enemies until we all hollow out and become what the world has molded us to become. Told what to listen to, who to follow and how to act until we all just sort of die. All to repeat the cycle over again.
