This is one of the more important songs Ive written. Its about the ever increasing act of dividing a scene and its hypocrisy within it. Many people in this scene are constantly saying society, people outside the scene, etc are always judging them before they actually know who they are or what they're about. But its these same people who are dividing the scene and setting up these rules of what is and isnt punk rock and who is and isnt actually part of it. These people are hurting this scene more than they know but sadly they're too stupid and ignorant to see this. There is no king of punk rock, who are you to tell me who I should listen to, how to dress. Having a mohawk is fine and dandy (had one most of my teenage life). But now if you dont got one at a show a bunch of the punk rock elite will look down on you like a mere peon. Ive actually had people tell me which bands I should have patched on my vest, how about I put whatever bands I want and enjoy on mine and you worry about yours. Not to mention how many idiots swear their life to lyrics from bands, their views, their opinions and then do the opposite of what they swear they live their life by. Listen I love punk music, it changed my life. But please people dont go living your life by a set of punk rock rules, dont divide a scene thats already divided enough by being an idiot and judging people. And please, doing crack and being homeless is not something to brag about. Ive been getting alot of questions about this song. If it makes you angry you might be part of the problem.
